This Privacy Policy describes how Foody Guide ("the app") handles your information. Foody Guide is developed and operated by Aidar Galimov ("we", "us"). We keep things simple: the app collects only what it needs to work, and we never sell your data.
Account information. You can use Foody Guide without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from the sign-in provider. With Sign in with Apple you may hide your real email address.
Your in-app data. When you are signed in, we store your profile data so it syncs across your devices: your display name, avatar emoji, the cafes you liked, and your selected filter categories. This data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore).
Location. With your permission, the app uses your device location to show cafes near you on the map, sort places by distance, and power the "Nearby Cafes" home-screen widget. Location is used for these features only; we do not maintain a history of your movements. You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings, and the app will keep working without it.
Analytics and crash data. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used (e.g. which screens are opened) and to find and fix crashes. This data is aggregated or pseudonymous — we do not use it to identify you personally, and the app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Foody Guide is built on Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration). Data processed by these services is handled according to Google's Firebase privacy documentation. Sign-in is provided by Google and Apple under their own privacy policies.
Your profile data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at helpfoody@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. We will delete your data within 30 days of the request.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in Google Firebase infrastructure with access restricted to your authenticated account.
Foody Guide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
